DESCRIPTION
Deep blue above, with a shining forehead and brow; light rufous below, shading steadily to white lowe breast, belly and vent. Female is rufous all the way up to the bill; male has a black chin and throat
DISTRIBUTION
Resident n southern most Peninsular Thailand and Peninsular Malaysia ( not Singapore, and in Sumatra and Borneo ( including Sabah and Sarawak)
HABITS and HABITAT
Found in evergreen rainforest i the extreme lowlands, in the understorey near streams and in a peat-swamp forest. Claims of higher altitudes may be due to confusion with very similar species. Seen singly or in pairs, sallying out to catch passing insects. Nesting recorded c Apr- Jun, with fledglings still tended by parents in Sabah until early Sept

ABOUT THE PHOTOS
I and Adi Aviantoro just found Sambar Biru Malaysia birds ... on the way to the Masjid as per planned due to we don't have many birds to shoot at specified spot. I stopped the car, bring the camera and we shot as many photos as we can - however suddenly I realized, that I did not install my Speed light, either Adi Aviantoro. So after careful review, some of the photos not more see on detail especially in shadow area of Sambar Biru Malaysia. This because backlight issue ...I'll hope some days, I 'll back as we called "Remedial" with more proper light - " Easy to say.. "
