DESCRIPTION

Bright rufous-chsnut cap and face, with white ring around eye and on forehead; otherwise entirely ashy grey except for white wing-panel and chestnut vent and thighs. Borneo birds have a buff mark only below eye (not entire ring), and slightly ochre tone to breast. Bill and legs bright orange-yelow.

DISTRIBUTION

Resident in mountains of Peninsular Malaysia, Sumatra and Borneo, including both Sabah and Sarawak

HABITS AND HABITAT

At c. 850 - 2,000 m lower and upper montane forest, from the canopy through the middle and lower storeys of the forest, but rarely on the ground. Also found in forest edges and secondary growth, including abounded mountain cultivation and fern brakes. Call in repeated 2-note whistle; brea out into a great chorus when among flock members. Nests c. Feb- Jul

ABOUT THE PHOTOS

It is Thursday - 1 Muharram 1434 H today and still in the morning at 7: 22 AM, I met again the fellow who work at RADAR, he is the one who ask me to go to around the RADAR this early morning to take a picture of nice birds.

He just prepared to way home, when I met him at RADAR. He stayed at Ipoh in which 3 hours trip from Genting Highland as his explanation. He still have a room for me just to assist me in pointing in which place are birds appear, and naming the birds before he left. His replacement already arrived at 7:00 AM. He said:" You are lucky to be here in this morning, looks by yourself the whether is good, right?"

There are so many new birds so as I know around the RADAR, however only a few I can take a picture due to bad whether, the rest aren't so good photo due to mist went down or disallow me to take a picture becuase only a few minute later the rain went down. However, I have a bonus when I took the photo LAUGHINGTHRUS, becuse the whether are still good and bright as per below photo
